Aaaaaaah, it's summer solstice in Latvia. For those poor souls who have no idea what summer solstice in Latvia means - it's the best holilday in the whole wide world! It is also directly responsible for my rather large consumption of beer.
Basically, the whole country shuts down for 2 days and people sing, drink tons of beer, eat cheese, and lovers look for flowering fern. Apparently, if you find fern with a flower, your love will be eternal. I am not sure if fern actually blooms, as much as I remember, my attempts to find flowers resulted in scraped skin from tumbling in the woods at night.
Nevertheless, it's a great holiday full of revelry and drunkeness. Happy Jani!
